The heart of the resort are clearly the "5" Championship Golf courses, headlined by the famed "Champion" course, home of the PGA tour event "The Honda Classic."

Welcome to my blog and thanks for having a read through. Here you will be able to enjoy our latest musings on Wine, occasionally a beer, Hotels or Resorts and from time to time some random thoughts on ...well, just life in general; Each month will be different; one month I may shed some light on a Resort, or Hotel recently visited, another month share a few cents cents on a terrific wine (I may have sampled...extensively), beer or spirit that I have tried, and  to liven things up a bit further, every couple of months or so we will feature a guest blogger with their own shine on things. It could be a hotelier or meeting professional opining, but whomever it is, it will be a friend with the intention of turning a light on about somewhere or something really cool. This blog is written with the intent of having a bit of fun, sharing a nugget or two you may not have known and most importantly bringing you a smile, or maybe even a good laugh.

Enjoy!

If you have not been to the PGA National Resort and Spa recently, you simply have not been to the PGA National Resort and Spa. They are just completing a nearly 125 Million Dollar renovation and the Resort looks spectacular. Sophisticated and refined without being stuffy the PGA National, located in Palm Beach Gardens, is a quick 20 minute ride from the West Palm Beach Airport and offers something for everyone.

What you may not know is, the PGA National has a world class 40,000+ sq. foot spa, 19 Tennis Courts, multiple regulation Croquet Lawns, is  home to the PGA of America and the US Croquet Association.  Add to that they offer one of the hottest bars in the Palm Beach area, the iBAR, are a few short minutes ride to the beaches and shopping of Palm Beach and have a multitude Forbes four and five star rated restaurants within 10 miles.

However, where the PGA National really sets itself apart is with their amazing ability to handle groups and meetings. The resort was built in 1981, and is nearing the 40 year mark, but you would never know it. It was thought out and designed immaculately to accommodate groups from 10-500. One entire side of the resort houses the meeting space, easily located just off the lobby. The other side of the resort are all 339 guest rooms. The Lobby, iBAR and Ironwood restaurant separate the two sides and it's a short 1 minute walk from the furthest guest room to the furthest meeting room. For the planning and execution of any type of meeting or event the PGA has made it easy. Pretty incredible for a hotel developed and built prior to the invention of Computer Aided Design.

If you have a meeting to place in Southern Florida, the PGA National Resort and Spa is a must to explore.
